Bulimba Golf Club
Nine par-3 holes in Bulimba, with the longest measuring just 102 metres. This is golf with the volume turned down: a compact walk, a lighter bag and plenty of chances to say “that’s my distance” immediately before proving otherwise.

The facilities welcome the public, with equipment hire and a restaurant and bar for the debrief. Bring a wedge, a putter and someone whose company survives a three-putt. The driver can enjoy a well-earned day off.
Before you head out
Book ahead through the club and arrive early. Hire equipment is available; ask about your group’s needs when booking. Wear a collared shirt and closed shoes. Groups are limited to four players.
Pacific Golf Club’s Hilltop is a dedicated nine-hole par-3 course in Carindale. It gives new golfers room to begin and regular players somewhere to work on the shots they keep insisting are usually better than this.

Choose Hilltop
Choose nine holes, or go around again for eighteen. The main championship course is a separate outing, so select Hilltop when planning your visit. A second lap is practice. That is our official position.
Before you head out
Use Pacific’s public booking option and check available times. Guest registration may be required. Confirm equipment hire directly. The map marks the golf property; follow Hilltop signs on arrival, rather than the main course or mini golf.
At Oxley Golf Complex’s Corinda site, eighteen little par-3 holes put pitching and putting centre stage. You play from synthetic tee mats onto real grass greens. A proper short-game outing, with considerably less bag to carry.

Bring the friend who has only ever tried mini golf and introduce them to a wedge. No windmill required. This pitch-and-putt layout is separate from the complex’s conventional nine-hole course and its driving range, so check you’re heading to the right activity.
Before you head out
The operator says bookings aren’t needed for pitch and putt. Check current course conditions and equipment arrangements before travelling, especially after rain. Use the Corinda entrance on Cliveden Avenue; the driving range is at a separate location.

This is a conventional nine-hole course, rather than an all-par-3 layout. Pick it when you want a fuller round without committing to eighteen. The train makes a useful alternative to driving; check services and leave time for the walk to check-in.
Before you head out
Confirm social availability with the club before setting out. Tee times fit around competitions and vary by day. Check current course conditions and hire arrangements directly; a railway timetable is not a tee-time reservation.
For the crew that hears “quick round” and starts negotiating, Ashgrove offers visitors nine- and eighteen-hole options at The Gap. It’s a full mixed-par course: the longer detour in this guide, with room for more than your short game.

The club’s seventeenth is a par 3 with views across The Gap towards Mount Coot-tha and the D’Aguilar Range. A fine reason to look up. Ideally after you’ve hit the ball, though we understand the temptation.
Before you head out
Book as a visitor and confirm the available nine-hole routing, tee times and hire. The seventeenth won’t necessarily be included in your nine. Allow more time and bring clubs suited to longer holes; this isn’t a pitch-and-putt circuit.

Club and buggy hire are available, and there’s a driving range if the warm-up needs a warm-up. This is a Gold Coast outing, not an inner-Brisbane stop. Build in travel time and book the golf course specifically, rather than mini golf or foot golf.
Before you head out
Check bookings, current evening availability and the last starting time before travelling. Players need their own clubs or a hire set. The course allows paying players only, not spectators; BYO alcohol is not permitted.
Nine mostly flat holes in Tallebudgera, with a mix of par 3s and par 4s and no bunkers. Meadow Park makes a persuasive case for taking the clubs south. The sand can stay at the beach, where it belongs.

Practice putting greens and nets give you somewhere to get acquainted with your swing. The licensed Katagiri clubhouse offers a post-round finish. Treat this as a southern Gold Coast day trip or weekend addition, with the journey firmly in the plan.

Starts operate on a walk-up basis. The venue says online times are indicative, not confirmed tee slots, and waits vary. Check current arrangements before the drive. Hire clubs are available; each player needs their own set.
A par-3 hole is designed to take three strokes: one to reach the green, then two putts. Reality occasionally submits a different proposal.
A par-3 course is made up of these shorter holes. It’s real golf: you’ll still chip, pitch, read a green and occasionally negotiate with a tree. Mini golf is putting-only play on purpose-built obstacles. Both count as a good time; they’re different outings.
For a first proper round, a short course can make the game feel more approachable. Let faster groups through, repair pitch marks and wait until the group ahead is safely clear before hitting. Looking after the course is always on brand.

Where can I play par-3 golf in Brisbane?
Bulimba has nine par-3 holes, Pacific’s Hilltop in Carindale is a nine-hole par-3 course, and Corinda Pitch & Putt has eighteen short par-3 holes. Those are the dedicated Brisbane short-game options in this guide. Sandgate and Ashgrove are longer, mixed-par outings. A little variety keeps the excuses interesting.
Which courses are on the Gold Coast?
KDV Sport is in Carrara and Meadow Park is in Tallebudgera. Both are Gold Coast detours, separate from the five Brisbane venues. Give them a day-trip or weekend slot and allow for traffic. “Just popping out for nine” may require a little more explanation.
Can I play par-3 golf at night?
KDV Sport advertises a fully floodlit nine-hole par-3 course with evening play. Check current opening hours, availability and the last starting time directly. It’s on the Gold Coast, so include the journey from Brisbane. The lights help you see the ball. Finding it remains a team effort.
Do I need to book before playing?
Book ahead for Bulimba, Hilltop and the longer club outings. Corinda says pitch-and-putt bookings aren’t needed. Meadow Park uses walk-up starts and describes online times as indicative, not guaranteed slots. Always check the venue’s current arrangements and conditions before travelling.
Can we hire clubs and what will a round cost?
Bulimba, KDV and Meadow Park advertise club hire; check availability and fees directly. For the other venues, ask before setting out. Green fees vary with the day, number of holes and player category, so the official links are your best starting point. Budget separately for the celebratory snack. Even if the celebration is mostly that you finished.
